Angels in our town

During the time my son, Luke, suffered major seizures, many local angels from the Temple/Belton area helped him.  Obvious are the doctors and nurses at both Hermann Hospital and Scott & White Hospital.  His friends encouraged and lifted him up, pastors of churches outside our denomination included him on prayer lists; firemen made many calls to our house to be sure no seizures were fatal.  Many friends and family brought meals to our house nightly when he was convalescing.  His coaches, his teachers, his friends, all encouraged him and helped him feel more ‘normal.’ The news media even covered his journey, and the Catalyst at Scott & White (now Baylor Scott & White), as well as the publication for students at Texas A&M, and Children’s Miracle Network talk shows all covered his incredible and often scary journey.  Always, were the friends and family who prayed, made milkshakes and dropped by our home to encourage Luke.  His wonderful teachers even sent hand written letters from his classes at school. We praise God for all of his recovery and for his turning his own journey into the impetus for using his life to help others. His compulsion to give back began with all the hometown angels who surrounded and encouraged him.

Sincerly, Debbie
